Super Bowl Sunday?

Okay, I know Super Bowl Sunday was a couple of weeks ago, but I've been thinking about this commercial ever since then. I've been so excited to post it on here, and I really have no idea why. Maybe because I want you to know just how weird I actually am...

Every time this commercial comes on the TV I always smile and look at Tyler, and then after the commercial (while I'm still laughing) I say "See, it's funny!" I don't mean to say it every time, it just comes out. Then I realize that I said it again, and feel really stupid... Here you go!

See, it IS funny! Just please don't ask me do the dance moves from the video, I already to them waaay too often..

Let's just say I'm really bad at this whole blogging thing...

I know, I know... in my post last week I said that I would blog "tomorrow" about my Valentine's Day, and, well, I didn't. Anyway, I'm just going to get to the point and tell you all about our super low-key Valentine's Day. Really though, it was SUPER low-key.

On Valentine's Day, we woke up and went to work and school (yippee)! Tyler was lucky enough to work until 6:00 pm, so I was just hanging out at home by myself for a few hours. Don't worry though, I stayed plenty busy...you see, Tyler and I decided to just eat dinner at home so that we wouldn't have to fight all of the Valentine's crowds, and let me tell you, it was an excellent decision! So, you're wondering what we had for dinner? Why I had to hang out at Walmart so Tyler could go home and get his wallet? Yeah, we had some Crock Pot Chicken Cordon Bleu, and if I would've been thinking properly, I would've taken some pictures, but alas, I did not. Just know that it was delicious and super easy!

Then, I made some Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies once the chicken was in the crock pot...AND they were delicious and super easy. I would definitely recommend them.

Once we had finished our Valentine's dinner, we decided to go to Walmart to see if there were any other presents that we wanted to get for each other. Wally World always seems to pull through for us, and we got another movie! Just the fabulous The Emperor's New Groove! A movie that I have wanted for a long time now was finally on the cheap rack! Score!

Even though we didn't do anything out-of-the-ordinary to celebrate the special day of love, it was still great to spend time with Tyler and just remember why I love him so much, and to try and do special little things for him throughout the day to show him.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I just wanted to tell a quick story. It doesn't really have anything to do with Valentine's Day (that will be tomorrow's post...) but, it is a funny story, and it happened because of our Valentine's preparations. So... here we go.

Last night, Tyler and I went to the store. Walmart, to be more specific. You see, we were in desperate need of some groceries, as we hadn't been grocery shopping in at least two weeks. That's just how life goes in the Landgren house... We wait as long as possible to spend our own money. Anyway, back to the story. We had just finished our shopping, and we got up to the cash register, and Tyler went to pull his wallet out, and oops, it was at home. Crap. The cashier was a really nice lady though, and let us put our groceries back into our cart so that Tyler could run home and grab his wallet. We probably would've just left and gone back today to shop, except today is Valentine's day, and we needed those groceries for today's dinner. We also managed to find the last $10 Sherlock Holmes DVD, which is our super romantic present, AND I also managed to find the last red velvet cake mix. It is for cookies though, not cake. I promise I'll take picture of everything...if you even care. Oh yeah, so Tyler left to come home, and I felt like a real idiot, just hanging out in Wally World. I sure hope I didn't end up on peopleofwalmart.com today... I better go check... okay good, I'm not there. But, I was just hanging out for a good 20 minutes. Yep, my life rocks. BUT, Tyler made it back and we were able to get our groceries.

...and they lived happily ever after,

The End!

P.S. Sorry for the super awkward long paragraph, I just don't know how to separate it into smaller paragraphs without having to rewrite half of it... Now you know what my thoughts sound like. Enjoy!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Some of the things on my mind...

The past couple of days have been infinitely better than Monday. Seriously though. Here's why...
  • I have figured out how to get my ice to blend up nicely in my Magic Bullet
  • I remembered to turn down the heat on my toaster so my bread won't burn
    • Speaking of... when you turn the little knob to a lower number, are you turning down the heat, or the cooking time? I'm curious.
  • I haven't missed a bus that I wanted to be on since Monday... that is really a miracle in and of itself.
Despite Tyler having a really busy week and being at the library studying most of the time (he has already taken two tests this week, and has two tomorrow), I have managed to stay positive.

Oh yeah, some other things I wanted to tell you...I've been making an effort to actually make some of the recipes that I pin on Pinterest, and this is what we had for dinner last night:

picture and recipe from here
They were super easy, and I really liked them, and Tyler liked them. All I had to do was put 3 ingredients in a crock-pot, and then shred the chicken 4 1/2 hours later. The shredding was super easy though, so that wasn't even hard. I would definitely recommend them.

Really though, I've been staying pretty busy this week and it hasn't all been bad. I went to a "Power Sculpt" class on Tuesday, and it was hard, but awesome. I've been doing some interviews with people across the country for some press releases, so that's been cool too. I'm just ready for tomorrow to be over to have my husband back. I like him... a lot.

Happy Thursday everybody!
