Life... and countdowns!

Life is busy, but life is good. Tyler and I have just been going to school and work, and finding time to spend with our family and our friends. For as busy as things get, or as routine as things get, life is always good.

I was going to give you an update about life, but I started typing and realized that there aren't many updates to give...

This last weekend we went home to spend time with both of our families. It was a great weekend, especially since I got to play with this studly little guy:

On another note...the weather is getting cold, and I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet. I do love being able to snuggle up in a blanket (and with the hubby) and drink hot chocolate eat ice cream. Oh, probably my favorite thing about winter is being able to use my oven whenever I want. We don't have air conditioning or a swamp cooler in our apartment, so the oven in the summer was just a bad idea...

When Tyler and I were still dating, I had a whiteboard in my room with various countdowns on them. I don't have the whiteboard anymore, but I would like to reinstate the countdown idea! Here we go!

14 days until Thanksgiving break! (maybe it is technically 15, but I consider the start of the break to be on Tuesday because that is the last day of class for the week.)

16 days until Thanksgiving!


31 days until classes are OVER! 


38 days until finals week is done!

47 days until Christmas!

I'm typically one of those people who don't talk about Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but it is something I am looking forward to, and something that is taking place in the last few months of 2011, so, I decided to put it up. By the way, if I counted incorrectly, please tell me and I will fix it.

Time for another post already!

Time sure does go by quickly between blog posts. I swear I was just on here blogging yesterday, but it was actually a couple of weeks ago! Crazy! Life has just been pretty crazy, as always, and this last week has been extremely long. Tyler had three tests, and I had a ton of papers to write. At least that's how it felt at the beginning of the week. Now that I'm looking back though, the papers weren't that bad, and I would DEFINITELY rather write papers than have to study my guts out for a test. (Okay, I don't study my guts out, it's more like cramming the day before, but what do you expect? It's college!)

This last Monday I got a visit from my mom, Kelli, Payton and Austin! I sure do love spending time with my family. It's just what I needed. Since I go to a university that started out as a college of agriculture, it's only fitting that we have an "Ag Month," right? I thought so. This last week there have been some pretty amazing tractors parked around campus for part of Ag Month, so while my family was here, we decided to walk around campus to show Payton the pretty cool "trackers" (as Tyler would put it). Oh, I also remembered to take my camera with me! Take a look at the pictures!

 Austin is such a stud! Too bad he wouldn't smile for me. 

 Payton was actually willing to stand on the tractor! I was surprised!

This last week has been so busy, and I'm so grateful that it is finally the weekend. However, weeks like this one make me realize how blessed I am. I have a wonderful husband, and a great family!

The Past Little While...

Time sure flies when you're having fun! Or else when you're really busy, either way. This past month has been really awesome. Since I haven't posted since before Christmas break, I have a lot of catching up to do. We spent most of the break in Bountiful and Sandy spending time with our families, including a traditional Christmas Eve party with the Landgren family, and a pretty crazy Nerf gun war with my nephew, Payton. We got some awesome gifts from Santa, which include an awesome new camera (hopefully we'll be better at taking pictures), the complete Harry Potter book set, and a wireless internet router for our apartment! Christmas was awesome!

After we headed back up to Logan, we celebrated our six-month anniversary! We didn't do anything super exciting ... we went and saw the new movie "How Do You Know" that has Rheese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson in it -- we both really enjoyed it!

Now back to the nitty-gritty. We started school this last week, and life is super crazy now! Tyler and I are both going to school full-time and working about 15 1/2 hours a week ... at least we don't have kids to add to the mix!

We're both doing well, just trying to keep up with our homework and have fun at the same time! I hope I can convince Tyler to post soon!

It's a Boy!!!

Good thing he's not our boy! :) On September 24, my sister Kelli had her baby! His name is Austin Cade Lee! Congratulations Kelli & Parker, you did good again! He's so cute! We decided to come down from Logan so that we would be able to meet baby Austin!

Tyler was very VERY excited to be there!

Payton was so excited to be with his little brother, and he just couldn't hold him enough! Austin already started out as the best little brother ever though -- he brought Payton a football player robot!

I'm lucky to have such cute nephews! Congratulations again Kelli and Parker!

Tractors!!

So, here's the deal, life has been way crazy lately! There hasn't been much time to update this blog, but I'm finally getting to it! The week of Sept. 20th was Ag Week up at Utah State, which means there were tractors EVERYWHERE!! I had to take pictures of the tractors for my nephew Payton, but I'm afraid if I don't do something with them, I'll forget to show them to him. I thought they were pretty cool anyway, even if nobody else does.

So, there you have it! There are some seriously massive and intimidating tractors out there! But of course, only at Utah State would there be tractors on campus. :) Go Aggies!

P.S. How about that USU vs. BYU game!?
